About
Welcome to CEA Summer League 2020, a COVID-19 charity tournament! This is the only time when intercollegiate players are allowed to participate as a team together! Highschool students who are going to college in Fall 2020 and graduate students from Spring or Summer 2020 can participate as well! Haven't found a team yet? Don't worry! We also allow 'Free Agent' signups and free agents will be grouped to form a team together. The World Health Organization has classified the COVID-19 outbreak as a global health emergency, and governments around the world are taking action to control the virus from spreading. As a part of the global community, we want to support individuals and communities battle the coronavirus outbreak. Each division will be representing a charity that helps in the response and recovery efforts for those affected and for responders. We will start off with a base $500 USD and add any donations made to CEA during Summer League to donate to the charity represented by the winning team! The winning team will also receive sets of CEA Joggers and Classic Hats!

Schedule and Format
Participating team will be seeded into one of the 4 divisions based on the location of the team. Teams within their region will play against other teams in the division in a round-robin format, facing each other once throughout the group-stage phase. Group-stage matches follow a best of 2 format. 3 points for two maps won, 2 points for a map win and a map draw and 1 point for a tied series (two map draws or a map win and a map loss). Round differentials are kept to break ties. The default match time is every Wednesday at 9:00pm ET each week. However, teams are free to reschedule their matches as long as matches are reported by the first Sunday after the play week at 11:59PM ET. At the end of the group-stage phase, the top in each division will move onto Playoffs.
